    Arrive in Muscat & City Tour

    Flight Ref: 07:20 - 09:50 AM (Chennai to Muscat)

    Meet & Greet at the arrival exit area with your guide. Then we continue to Mutrah Souq is one of the oldest souq (traditional market) in Oman characterized by narrow winding alleys. For centuries, it served as a trading place for goods that passed through the Muscat harbor. Continue to Old Muscat, then have an outside photo stop to Al Alam Palace, official residence of His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and to Twin Portuguese Forts Mirani and Jalali. Lunch at the Rozna “the Castle restaurant” at your own personal expense. Finally visit the Royal Opera House.

    Nizwa- Jabal Akhdar

    09:15 AM- Pick up from the hotel and proceed top Marina Bandar Rowdha,

    Dolphin watching trip at 10:00-12:00 Noon. Lunch stop at your own expense. Continue to Birkat Al Mouz for a quick stop and head towards Jabal Akhdar. We will do a brief village walk tour. Continue to Nizwa. It is one of the oldest cities in Oman and once a capital of Oman in the 6th-7th century AD. Center of trade, religion, education and arts. Visit Nizwa Fort which was built in 1668 AD by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya'rubi and today is Nizwa’s main attraction. Next to it is the local souq in Nizwa which is renowned for its hand-carved “Khanjars” (daggers), delicious dates, pottery and ornamental silver jewellery. You are sure to find much to tempt you as you explore the meandering paths and myriad stalls of the souk.

    Night in Sharqiyah Desert

    First we drive to Wadi Bani Khalid, for an easy walk along the riverbed with ample time to cool down in the crystal clear waters of the rock pools. It is the best-known wadi of the Sharqiyah region. Its stream mountains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Large pools of water and boulders are scattered along the course of the wadi. And finally we drive to Sharqiyah Sands or formerly called “Wahiba Sands”. Where the dunes are 60-80 meters high and have been there for thousands of years. The Bedouins are masters at adapting to this barren environment and they are skilled weavers. They are also well known for their enormous hospitality and of course we are invited to coffee and dates.

    Coastal Trip to Muscat

    08:00 AM- You will be picked up from the hotel and proceed to the breathtaking Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an iconic architectural wonder. One of the most beautiful and extravagant modern mosques which features a blend of Islamic, Middle Eastern and Omani architectural styles (The Mosque is open from Sat-Thurs and from 8:00 AM- 11:00 AM).

    Visit Sur City an ideal location in the northeast province of Sharqiya and is a seafaring town, a fishing village and a trading port all in one. Visit Bimmah SinkholeFinally to Wadi Dayqah and return to Muscat. You will have dinner at a local restaurant (on your own personal expense).
