Guests will be picked up from the airport and we’ll begin our journey to Al Hamra, also known as Hamra Al Abryeen, named after the Al Abri tribe that resides there. Al Hamra is home to some of the oldest preserved houses in Oman, built on a tilted rock slab, with many featuring two stories and ceilings made from palm beams and fronds, topped with mud and straw. Next, we’ll head to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a distinctive mountain village situated 1,000 meters above sea level at the foothills surrounding Wilayat Al Hamra in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate. This village is named after the Al Abri tribe, who originally hail from both Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra. Our final destination is Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak at 3,009 meters above sea level, located in the Wilayat of Al Hamra. The summit is inaccessible by road, with public access ending at 2,000 meters. At night, guests will have the opportunity to camp at Sama Heights and enjoy the beauty of a moonlit sky, far from city lights. After the tour, we will drive back to Muscat and drop off guests.
