Diving Experience in Oman

8D/7N

Oman’s location in the northern reaches of the Indian Ocean makes the coastal waters a haven for dolphins, whales and birds. Close to the coast, the coral gardens are teeming with colourful fishes and the protected coves are crucial breeding grounds for endangered marine turtles. Dimaniyat Island is one the nature reserves in Oman. This archipelago of nine uninhabited rocky island lies about 42km off the coast of Muscat. The waters are rich in marine life and in more protected bays, sea grass and corals. So whether you are a snorkeler, a seasoned scuba diver or a novice diver who’s keen to learn you will be dazzled by the underwater world.

    Nizwa -Jebel Akhdar

We start the journey by heading to Nizwa Souq, the city known for its handicrafts and agricultural products, features a large souq with a wide range of products. The souq is bustling with vendors selling everything from meat to fish to fruits, and Nizwa is well-known for its silver jewelry, which is regarded as the best in the country. Its people are masters of Khanjar manufacturing (curved dagger), which is known for its peculiar design and patterns. They also produce copperware, coffee pots, swords, leather products, and pottery. Our next stop is Nizwa Fort which was built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Y'aribi in the middle of the 17th century. This Imam expelled the Portuguese from Oman. Then we proceed to Birkat Al Mouz, a little area located approximately 2 kilometers from the base of Jebel Akdhar. This lush landscape situated among stunning rocky contours is dotted with bygone architecture, ancient mud fortifications, and the haunting beauty of an abandoned village with a falaj encircling the foot of Jebel Akhdar. You may also locate Falaj Khatmyn, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Finally, we drive to Jebel Akhdar, which is noted for its Mediterranean climate. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive back to Muscat
