    Mt. Crossing to Jebel Shams

Depart Muscat and go to Nakhal, stopping for an outside shot at the Nakhal Fort before visiting Thawarah Hotspring. Traverse Wadi Bani Awf, perched on the mountain's slopes. This Wadi is also known as the "snake gorge," which is popular among adventurers for canyoning trips. Proceed to Bilad Sayt, a community famed for its clay buildings and the Oasis where the local residents dwell. Drive straight to Jebel Shams, Oman's famed high top. Translated as the Mountain of the Sun, it is the highest point on the Arabian Peninsula and so receives the first rays of sunlight in Oman. It adds a mysterious feel to the visit.

Overnight at the hotel in Jebel Shams (HB)

    Misfat Al Abriyeen-Bahla- Jabreen Castle

After breakfast, drive to Misfat Al Abriyeen (also known as Misfat or Misfah), one of Oman's most beautiful traditional villages, a charming huddle of old ochre-colored stone structures. It has been named one of the Best Tourism Villages by the World Tourism Organization for 2021. Moving on to Bahla Fort, a remarkable example of a fortified oasis settlement from the medieval Islamic period, which demonstrates the early residents' water engineering skills. This fortress is one of Oman's UNESCO sites. Finally, visit Jabreen Castle, which dates back to 1670. The design and construction were overseen by Al Immam BilArab bin Sultan Al Y'aribi. This fort served as both a lovely palace for the Immam and his family and a defensive stronghold during battle. Return to Muscat afterwards.
